MCD® provides an effective alternative to conventional destruction and remediation treatment processes by exploiting mechanochemical reactions. We utilise high energy ball milling to destroy persistent organic contaminants, transform asbestos into non-asbestiform solids, and efficiently pulverise raw materials into powders for industrial use. Core Technology

Mechanochemistry, recognised as a green chemical technique, explores the physical and chemical transformation of substances that have been mechanically stressed or have undergone mechanical fractures.

MCD® systems harness the immense mechanical energy of high-velocity ball bearings within specialised reactors to drive targeted reactions forward. During collisions, particles are exposed to intense conditions, resulting in particle fracture and molecular destruction, enabling the safe and efficient breakdown of hazardous materials and the pulverisation of hard mineral substances into fine powders.
